Eternal Lands

Eternal Lands is a very laid back MMORPG not unlike runescape. However it is pretty different to runescape over all. The game features nicely detailed 3d graphics, while not the smoothest of animation, it’s rather pleasing to the eyes. Unlike most free MMORPG eternal lands (or EL) concentrates on much more than just combat. you can create potions, harvest resources, create armor and weapons or even clothing, summon creatures from simple rabbits to an extremely powerful Dire wolf.

One thing you will notice about EL upon playing it, is that things take time to do something relatvily advanced (create a good armour, weapon, summon a tougher creature, harvest a tough resource) you have to read a series of books, and while this is very time consuming and may put some people off, but personally its one thing I loved about the game particularly because you know that you worked hard to.. lets say become a good blacksmith and not all other players at your level are as good a blacksmith (as opposed to runescape where chances are, if somebody is level 100, he most likely can create the best armor in the game) as you. Also one thing that i absolutly love about EL is the community, it is very mature and friendly (as opposed to the many 12 year olds begging for stuff and being very annoying overall in runescape).

the game is in beta but is still very playable and fun. but there are alot of plans for the game. Bottom line: if you play MMORPGs more for the social aspect of the game you will be delighted with EL, similarly if you just want a relaxing game to pass the time you will enjoy this. however due to unexciting combat, if your looking for action, your probably better off on one of the millions of korean beta MMO's.
