Counter-Strike 2D

The name says it all.
Counter-Strike 2D is a top-down clone of the most famous multiplayer game ever.
Programmed in Blitz 3D (irony), the game is based on a simple tile engine and uses 3D acceleration for amazing light, shadow and smoke effects.

First of all - the gameplay:
The gameplay is great, you have the same weapons, the same maps - everything. You can either play the game online (web or lan) or with & versus bots. Counter-Strike 2D (short version: CS2D)

has the very same weapons than its big brother, the very same maps, the very same skins - everything. Second - the graphics:
You have the Counter-Strike maps, the Counter-Strike models, the Counter-Strike weapons, the Counter-Strike feeling... ...in 2D.
The graphics are 2D from a top-down view, nothing really special.
I like the sniper mode, but I'm not gonna spill the beans - check it out for yourself!

Third - the sounds:
I have no complaint at all.
Very good 3D sound - (ripped from the original CS?) - not only the guns, but footsteps in the snow, voice commands, and much more.
As a matter of fact, I do think they are ripped from the original CS, but who cares? This is a proof for the game sounds to be good!

You have a fog of war (sight) for tactical gaming, a console (scripting), a map editor, 3D sounds, the list goes on and on.

I have 3 words for you: Play! This! Game!

Pros:

Good gameplay
Online play rocks
Bots's smartness is good
Map editor
Tons of custom maps on the web
You can play in the original CS 1.6 maps (bonus for CS players like me, who doesn't know aztec, dust, or assault?)
And so much more...

Cons:

Although the main menu is in english, some mission descriptions are on german. I didn't really find it annoying, but it's worth mentioning
