Battle of Endor

Normally, when you hear Star Wars you think, Jedi Knights or Bounty Hunters, especially with the release of episodes 1,2 and 3. But what about the epic space battles seen in episodes 4,5 and 6?

This game recreates the epic (you guessed it!) battle of Endor, where the first deathstar is under siege by you and your trusty allies. You are not going in alone and the game isn’t all about you, you are in the middle of a huge battle! You will have tie fighters wizzing by you the entire time while you dodge star cruisers enemy fire and your own allies, the battle is truly intense.

The battle is fought through 6 rounds, but you wont even notice the change in round unless you look at the round number at the top of the screen. In the first round you have to survive a huge wave of tie fighters, in the second round you have to destroy a star cruiser and the final round you have to destroy a sort of super star destroyer and then lando and Han Solo can finally destroy the deathstar.

Like I said earlier this game is not about you, you are just one pilot in a huge war, meaning you do not have more shields than other ships and do die rather easily, this game is not easy.

The graphics are good, nothing special but they don’t take anything away from the epicness of the battle. The 3D models are great but they are all untextured... this does however give it a cool arcadey look. Sound effects are great.

3 firing modes + torpedos
Multiple objectives

Cons:

Lack of textures
Terrible joystick control
